We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician for a long-term locum opportunity. This position offers a chance to provide comprehensive primary care to our community, blending outpatient clinic work with essential on-call responsibilities.
We are ideally looking for a candidate with OB management/skills (C-section not required), but we are open to considering Family Physicians without OB experience who are committed to full-scope primary care. You'll be coordinating call rotations with our three established Family Medicine physicians, fostering a supportive team environment. We are flexible and open to discussing availability to create a schedule that works.
Responsibilities & Schedule:
- Primary Care Clinic:
- Typical Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (or as mutually agreed upon).
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population, including preventative care, chronic disease management, and acute care.
- On-Call Coverage:
- Weekend On-Call: Preferred coverage for one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- Intermittent Weekday Call: Approximately one day per week (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM) for primary care, pediatrics, and newborns.
- Call Coordination: All call rotations will be coordinated with the three existing Family Medicine physicians on staff.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine is required, or Board Eligibility if recently completed residency.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (NRP if performing newborn care).
- Preferred: Experience and comfort with OB management and skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse patient panel in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
