Urgent Care Locum job in Pittsburgh, PA

SCHEDULE :

• 1 provider with urgent care or emergency medicine experience to cover Mon-Sun 8a-8p. Looking for FT 12+ shifts per month or PT 6+ shifts per month

Coverage Need Details :

• Provider will travel between the different sites which are no more than 30mi apart

• *Must list when submitting presentations whether your provider is comfortable or not comfortable with the below:
• o Suturing/Wound Care/I&Ds:
• o Splinting:
• o X-Rays/EKGs:
• o Drawing Blood/IVs:
• o Working Independently:
• o Pediatrics:

Candidates Typical Day :

• Provider will see patients with cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, minor burns, they may do splints, Xrays/EKGs, drawing blood and I&Ds. Typical Urgent Care assignment, anything high acuity will get referred to the local ER

REQUIREMENTS : 

• DEA Required? : Yes
• State Licensure : PA
• CSR License Required? :  Yes

• *Must have a min of 2yrs of experience in urgent care or 1yr of experience in emergency medicine
• *Must be comfortable seeing patients of all ages
• *Must be comfortable with orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care
• *Min availability to be considered: 3 shifts per month consistently

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : 

• ACLS;BLS;PALS
