Medical Oncology Locums or locums to perm position in Coos Bay, OR- $500 hourly
Start Date: ASAP Need Starting April- Ongoing - Minimum 2 weeks a month - REQUIRED
Schedule (Shifts and Hours):
- Monday-Friday: 4 or 5 days per week, 8:30a-4:30p, admin day or 1/2 day if needed
- Call Schedule: 1 weekend a month
Candidate Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (Within 2 years) in BOTH Hematology and Oncology - REQUIRED
- Active OR license - PREFERRED, WILLING TO ACCPET PROVIDERS NEEDING TO OBTAIN
- Clean background/no malpractice - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Self Query - NPDB at time of Submission - REQUIRED
- Experience practicing Radiation Oncology with a strong record (or an excellent recent graduate) is preferred.- REQUIRED
Practice Description:
- Number of Physicians in Practice: 3 currently
- Trauma Level: 3
- Functions as a member of the clinical patient care team performing tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist
- What Percentage of the Practice is Hematology %, Oncology %, Internal Medicine %?: 20% heme, 80% oncology
- Most benign heme is referred out as we are focusing on getting new solid tumor diagnosis seen timely (within 1 week of referral).
- Will There be Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage? Yes
- How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 2 currently
- Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office)?: 10-15
- Average Number of Patients Per Day - HOSPITAL (Call/Rounding) :? Only when patients are admitted for inpatient chemo.
- A full scope of services that include cardiology, radiology, oncology, emergency care, surgical care (including bariatrics and robotics), critical care, inpatient psychiatry, wound care with hyperbaric medicine, primary care, pediatrics, OB and home health
