Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Cardiologist to join our team in Santa Fe. This is an ongoing, full-time position offering a balanced practice that includes both comprehensive office-based patient care and essential hospital-based care, including critical call responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in both general cardiology and interventional procedures, committed to providing exceptional patient outcomes, and eager to contribute to a collaborative medical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Office Care: Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology services, including consultations, follow-ups, diagnostic test interpretation, and chronic disease management.
  • Hospital Care: Manage inpatient cardiology consults, admissions, and follow-ups within the hospital setting.
  • Interventional Procedures: Perform a full scope of interventional cardiology procedures, including but not limited to, coronary angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and management of acute coronary syndromes.
  • Weekday Call: Participate in the weekday call rotation, covering 2-3 days per week, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM per day. Days are flexible and can be coordinated.
  • Collaborate effectively with referring physicians, hospitalists, emergency department staff, and other specialists to ensure seamless patient care transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, followed by an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship.
  • Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine is required, or Board Eligibility if recently completed fellowship.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing a wide range of cardiac conditions and performing interventional procedures.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic abilities, and procedural skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
