Physician Assistant Locum Opportunity in North Carolina

We are seeking an experienced and Board Certified Emergency Department Physician Assistant for focused locum tenens coverage in North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a PA comfortable with solo ED coverage, working in a dynamic environment.

Schedule & Openings

• Shift Times: 12-hour shifts; 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
• Specific Openings:
• August 17, 2025: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• August 24, 2025: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Coverage Model: Standard solo Emergency Room coverage.

Facility & Team

• Hospital Type: Open ICU setting.
• Team Support: You'll be working as one of two mid-level providers, collaborating with one physician for split coverage.
• Accommodation: Physicians (and presumably PAs on this coverage model) will be housed in hospital-owned apartments during their shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) Physician Assistant.
• Experience: Must have prior Emergency Department Physician Assistant experience.
• Licensure & Credentials:
• Active and unrestricted North Carolina PA License.
• Must be NC Medicaid/Medicare credentialed and enrolled in PECOS.
• Must possess a DEA with a North Carolina address.
• Vaccination: Provider must be vaccinated.
