Timeframe: 30-60 days upon receipt of fully completed application.
?Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:
- Average Number of admissions per day? 4 (3-5) pediatric patients and 7 (3-15) newborn/nursery patients
-Average Number of ICU patients per day? N/A Facility does not have a PICU and NICU is covered by neonatologists.
- Emergency Codes are run by emergency medicine physicians.
-Does the pediatrician on call see all kids that come into the ER? No, they will provide an in-person evaluation or phone consultation based on ER physician's determination of the patient's condition. The pediatric hospitalist is the attending for any children admitted through the ER or by direct admit.
- Does the Pediatric Hospitalist attend All deliveries and cesarean sections even if there is No expected complications? Definitely not. They are the attending for newborns admitted to the well-baby nursery after delivery. We have neonatologists who attend all high-risk deliveries.
