We're looking for a skilled Neurologist to provide crucial short-term locum coverage for our department, starting August 4, 2025. This assignment is essential as we recruit a new Advanced Practice Clinician (APC), and we anticipate the need will last for approximately 3-4 months.

This role involves a mix of outpatient clinic responsibilities and comprehensive call coverage, offering a dynamic practice environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a variety of neurological conditions and comfortable working in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Schedule & Responsibilities:
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Coverage Frequency: The physician will provide coverage for two weeks per month for the duration of the assignment.
- Call Coverage: Participate in a 1:3 call rotation, which includes weekdays and weekends. Ideally, the locum would take weekend call during the period in between their two weeks of coverage each month.
- Clinic Duties: See and manage patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
- Hospital Consults & Emergencies: Respond to and manage neurological consults and emergencies in the hospital during call weeks.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program.
- Board Certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (or equivalent recognized board) is highly preferred; Board Eligibility will be considered for recent graduates with strong experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic abilities, and communication skills.
- Comfortable managing both routine outpatient cases and acute neurological emergencies.
- Ability to integrate smoothly into an existing team and provide consistent coverage.
- Proficiency with the Cerner EMR System is essential.
