Description

Medical Center prefers to have one locum interested in a long-term assignment with an active VT license with the ability to get temp privs and be credentialed quickly.

Description of Work Assignment: Solo and medical direction of APP’s (CRNA and AA) typically 7a to 3 pm with occasional overflow. 24hr call, first 10 hours in house then home call based on cases booked, 20 min turn around. Call room available in house if required.

Breakdown of Clinic Days/Sessions and/or OR Days: When on call, medical direction of 2-3 rooms. When not on call, usually solo cases. Pre-call person usually in endo/OB/bronch

Schedule of Days/Times Needed To Work/ Shift Hours: Regular day 7-3 Call day 24 hours with home call

Weekend home call. All call has a 20 min requirement to getting to hospital.

On call? If so, what are the call hours? 24 hours home call first 10 hours of weekday call is spent as a regular work day.

Procedures Provider Will Be REQUIRED To Perform: Regional anesthesia for orthopedic procedures, spinal/epidural for OB, central lines, arterial lines. Airway procedures as needed

Procedures Preferred: Regional anesthesia for orthopedic procedures, spinal/epidural for OB, central lines, arterial lines. Airway procedures as needed

Anticipated Procedures/Surgeries per Week: Depends on week but typically 4-5 per day, cataracts are usually 10/day

Does the Provider Have Particular Fellowship? No

Board Status Requirement (BC/BE): BC/BE

Certifications Required? BLS, ACLS, PALS?? BLS, ACLS, PALS

Is There Additional Surgical Staff? Surgical staff is knowledgeable on how to provide assistance in after-hours calre

Is there additional support staff? Anesthesia tech on weekdays

Is the provider working solo or with other providers? If so, whom? Solo on non-call days, medical direction of AA’s and CRNA’s on call days. Occasional senior anesthesia resident on rural anesthesia rotation.

Are there mid levels? If yes, is the locums provider responsible for mid levels? Yes

Trauma Level of Work Location: Level 3

EMR System? EPIC

Is the Clinic EMR Different From the Hospital EMR? no
