University needs 1 CRNA locum for the Anesthesia dept.
**they need a provider that can work Full time!! Must have an active VT license and be able to credential quickly**
Description of Work Assignment : University is a level one trauma center, 620-bed teaching hospital serving the needs of the local community and greater regions of NY. The anesthesiology department conducts more than 25,000 anesthetics yearly in our 20-bed operating room suite with 4 minor procedure rooms. We work in a traditional ACT model and experience a diverse variety of surgical procedures.
Anticipated Procedures/Surgeries per Week: Coverage of the following services:
• General
• GYN
• ENT
• Vascular
• Robotic
• Urology
• Ortho
• Plastics
• Neuro
• GI
• IR
• Endo
• EP
• MRI
• Ophthalmology
• Dental
Breakdown of Clinic Days/Sessions and/or OR Days: Four 10hr days or three 12/13 hr days. Varying days each week.
Schedule of Days/Times Needed To Work/ Shift Hours: 0700-1700 or 0700-1900/2000
On call? If so, what are the call hours? No call hours
Procedures Provider Will Be REQUIRED To Perform: General, MAC, Regional (spinals), arterial lines
Patient Load: Varies based on daily assignments and procedures
Does the Provider Have Particular Fellowship? NA
Will You Accept Experience Over Fellowship?
Board Status Requirement (BC/BE): NBCRNA
Certifications Required? BLS, ACLS, PALS?? BLS/PALS/ACLS
Is There Additional Surgical Staff? Surgical residents
Is there additional support staff? We have anesthesia techs and SRS who facilitate room flow and turnover.
Is the provider working solo or with other providers? If so, whom? Traditional ACT model. Typical supervision is 1:2 occasionally 1:3 we have a collaborative group of MD, DO, CRNA, CAA colleagues and residents
Are there mid levels? If yes, is the locums provider responsible for mid levels? NA- looking for Advanced Practice Provider
