o On a weekday at location the highest volume is 10 new patients. Average is closer to 6. There is APP assistance for rounding on the “established” patients and can assist with the new admits requiring consults.
o We do have transfers from other location when there are emergent issues that unable to be stabilized and seen by a physician in the AM the following day.
o Currently, advanced procedures are only performed at Location 1. We do expect a locum’s provider to travel to Location 1 to perform advanced endoscopy when they are covering Other location, if needed and the physician is capable. The travel time between hospitals is 10 minutes at the most and is 1.5 mile travel distance.
o Procedures will not exceed 15 but is more likely to sit between 8-12 being a mixture of EGDs, Colonoscopy’s, advanced Endo if possible. The highest volume we have reached in the past 4 months was 12 procedures.
o The on-site hours are 7 am – 4 pm. With off-site coverage being from 4 pm to 6:59 am the following morning.
o When OT is required, we will require a description of what occurred and required the physicians physical presence outside of the on-site hours.
