Primary Care Locum Opportunity in North Dakota

Walk-In Clinic Nurse Practitioner

Schedule/Availability Requirements: Monday-Friday 0700-1900 (3) 12 hour shifts per week

Setting: Walk-In Clinic

FTE: 1.0

Duties:

? Perform physical exams (within established protocol).

? Diagnose and treat (within protocol guidelines).

? Order diagnostic tests.

? Prescribe or recommend medications and treatment (within protocol guidelines).

? Promote positive lifestyle habits to all patients through education and counseling.

? Perform minor procedures as necessary (within protocol guidelines)

? Complete documentation within 24 hours.

? Maintain patient’s privacy and confidentiality.

? Make follow up calls to check patients progress.

? Work closely with nurses to assure patient flow is efficient.

? Consult with colleagues as needed regarding patient symptoms to assure proper diagnosis and plan of treatment.

? Performs other duties as assigned

Required Procedures: Sensitive Examinations, Minor Procedures (I&D, Sutures, etc.)

EMR: Allscripts AEHR

Support Staff: Primary Care Providers, Triage nurse(s), 1 nurse per provider, CNA
