Pediatrics Locum Opportunity in North Dakota

Hospital is needing Full-Time Pediatric locum coverage as soon as credentialed for an unplanned FMLA.

Schedule/Availability Requirements:

Shift time: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday   

Start date: ASAP (usually takes 2-4 weeks to get credentialled at our facility)

Shifts per month: Full time. This can be split between 2 providers  

Duties:  Clinic coverage

FTE:  1.0

Required Procedures:  Ability to perform Circumcisions is desired.  

EMR: Allscripts/AEHR      

Support Staff: Pediatric clinic service line staffs each provider with an RN or LPN and a CNA.  

Reason for Coverage:  Pediatrician resigned in December 2025 because he was accepted into a pediatric cardiology fellowship and the remaining Pediatrician is on unplanned  Medical Leave effective February 2026

Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:

Admissions per day, Patients/day, Types of cases, Disclosures that may need to be made, etc.  Average visits in the pediatric clinic is 15-20 patients 

First day info: There is an onboarding process for new providers that includes assistance from a Clinical Informaticist (CI) to assist with computer access and training.  New providers will be given a patient 'ramp-up' plan until familiar with the system and workflow.

Background: When fully staffed, the Pediatric Clinic operates with a team of two MDs and one APP. This team is responsible for providing pediatric patient care during five 8-hour days per week. We are currently recruiting for an open Full-Time Pediatrician position. 

Credentialing Information:

Timeframe:   Locum credentialing typically can be done in 2 to 3 weeks

Requirements:  Candidate will be sent documents to complete and asked to do so as quickly as possible to move the process forward timely.
