Neurological Surgery Locum Opportunity in Michigan

PA - Surgery - Neuroendovascular Locum Job in Detroit, MI

SCHEDULE : 

• Hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., in-house coverage required
• Coverage includes 240 hours in a 6-week schedule with weekend shifts
• weekend coverage required every 4th week
• No on-call duties

JOB DESCRIPTION : 

• Dates of coverage:August 2025-November 2025
• Coverage needed while they recruit for perm
• Inpatient, hospital-based setting with responsibilities for rounding, consults, and postoperative care
• No OR/First Assist or procedural work required
• Must have a basic understanding of acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies, ICU care, neurosurgical elective procedures, and postoperative management
• Expected to see an average of 10 patients per day
• EMR system used: eCare/Cerner
• Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation
• Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work autonomously
• Supervising physician available off-site, on-call 24/7
• No new graduates will be accepted
• Procedures required: simple suture for minor laceration repair
• Patient demographics range from ages 0 to 99

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS : 

• Board Certified (ANCC, AANP or NCCPA) - REQUIRED
• Active MI license - REQUIRED
• Clean Background- REQUIRED
• BLS, ENLS, NIHSS - REQUIRED
• MI addressed DEA (Verbal Confirmation) - REQUIRED
