Locum Radiologist - Breast & Diagnostic (Optional IR)

Coverage Type: Onsite Clinic and Call

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), plus call responsibilities. Specific call schedule will be determined.

About the Opportunity:

Hospital is seeking a dedicated Radiologist with expertise in Breast Imaging and General Diagnostics for ongoing locum coverage. This onsite position involves a Monday through Friday clinic schedule with a primary focus on mammography, complemented by general diagnostic reads. While not required, experience and willingness to perform Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures would be a significant plus. MQSA certification is required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing interpretation of a high volume (approximately 80%) of breast imaging studies, including screening and diagnostic mammography.
  • Interpreting a range of general diagnostic imaging studies (approximately 20%), including Inpatient Routine, Other Routine, Stat, and Stroke protocols.
  • Participating in the on-call rotation, providing timely interpretation of urgent and emergent studies.
  • Communicating effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Focus: 80% Mammography, 20% General Diagnostics.

Optional Skills: Interventional Radiology (IR) experience is a plus but not required.

Required Certification: MQSA certification.

Call Responsibilities: This position includes call coverage in addition to the Monday-Friday clinic schedule. Specific call schedule details will be provided.

Volume Expectation: Approximately 65 RVUs per shift.
