Medical Group South needs a provider to cover Cardiovascular Surgery at Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO for 1-2 weeks per month!
Schedule:
- Call coverage needed, ongoing as soon as credentialed.
- No specific dates are provided until provider has accepted an offer.
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, some vacation weekday call coverage 6a-6a
Details:
- Hospital based
- 100% Adult
- 10-15 hospital-based patients on average per day
- PPD: 1-2 Admissions, 8-10 ICU, 1-2 Surgeries
- 400 Total number of beds
- 12 ICU Beds
- 2 Physicians in practice, 5 Mid-levels
- Level 1 trauma
- EMR: Epic
- 2 Physicians
- Required to supervise and provide clinical oversight as appropriate while on call.
- No other thoracic surgeons will be present during locum call coverage.
- Conversion/perm fee placement cap $25K
- 90 day credentialing timeframe
Required Procedures:
- General CV/Thoracic Surgery - open
- Coronary artery bypass surgery - on pump & Off-pump
- Congenital defects (ASD< VSD, PFO, etc.)
- Valvular Repair & replacement
- Aneurysm Repair - Cardiac & Aorto-thoracic
- ECMO Cannulation and Patient stabilization for transport to academic center in Denver.
Preferred Procedures:
- Evaluation and management of acute vol /BP issues
- Insertion of Central Line, Arterial Line, PA catheter, IABP
Submission Requirements
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MUST BE DISCLOSED AT NAME CLEAR TO BE CONSIDERED AND AVOID BEING REDIRECTED!!
- Board Certified Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery (ABMS/AOA) - REQUIRED
- Active Colorado License or Active IMLC - REQUIRED
- Active ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) - REQUIRED, if provider does not have AHA of lice certs, must note willing to obtain AHA certs.
- Must note provider is able to perform all required procedures - REQUIRED
- Clean background/no malpractice - REQUIRED
- COVID vaccinated - REQUIRED, note at time of name clear
- Candidates must be able to perform heart surgery - focus on cardiac cases - REQUIRED (note years of experience at time of name clear)
