Interventional Radiology Locum Position in Phoenix, AZ:
- Regular Daily Rate: $4,000 Daily
- Call Back: $350 Hourly
- 24 Hour Call: $4,000
- Gratis Hours: 4 Hours
Medical Center is in need of interventional radiology coverage starting ASAP and ongoing!
Average worked Callback Hours: Weekday <1 hour; Weekend 5 hours
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
Sometimes for vacation call may be more frequents, main need is 7 day coverage week stretch at a time
Consecutive coverage week at a time. Day shifts (8-5) on campus plus home call overnight after 5pm for week, Weekends are home calls. Can expect to do some cases over the weekend.
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible - REQUIRED
- AZ license or IMLC - REQUIRED
- Interventional Radiology FELLOWSHIP - REQUIRED
- ACLS - REQUIRED
- DEA - REQUIRED
- Malpractice - Clean Preferred
- Availability at time of name clear - REQUIRED
Position Details:
- Setting: Hospital
- FTE: 1.0
- Duties: Call responsibilities to include consults and procedures
- Required Procedures: Procedures are pretty broad but anything from venous access/biopsies to TIPS, trauma, DVT/PE work - NO neuro IR
- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff: 3 IR MD , two APP. US and CT procedure rooms as well as two angio suites. Average day is two MD and one or both APP
- Credentialing Information:
- Timeframe: 45-60 days if quick to turn in all required information (from complete application)
- Requirements: Same as all locum requests with DH
- Credentialing with other facilities? No
- Average procedures/day:10-15

- Only diagnostic is arterial ultrasound studies but there is some flexibility here 100% Interventional
- Is this facility affiliated with Maricopa county? Is this another facility? Maricopa county I believe is the county in which Phoenix is part of.
- Are they needing daytime office coverage as well or just call? Call is during the day and night
- what is the night call expectation? Answer any calls coming in, if something is emergent may need to go in.
- will you consider board certified diagnostic radiology or will the provider be required to be boarded in IR? Need to have completed IR fellowship, if not board certified, OK.
- Can you provide the schedule for the 7 days of coverage? Is the Mon – fri 8a-5p with weekend call? Is there night call? Will the 7 days be consecutive? Consecutive coverage week at a time. Day shifts (8-5) on campus plus home call overnight after 5pm for week, Weekends are home calls. Can expect to do some cases over the weekend.
