Trauma Surgery Locum Opportunity in Arizona

SHIFT DETAILS : 

• Oct 2,3,4 – DAYS
• Oct 10,11,12 – NIGHT
• Night Shifts are 5pm-7am
• Day shift is 7am-5pm and includes rounding on inpatient STICU and trauma patients (typically about 10-20 patients) with the help of the trauma APPs and responding to trauma activations. 

WORK DETAILS : 

• Must be able to work closely with the NPs without issue.
• Must understand that they need to take notes in the computer system - this is not done for you.
• Must be comfortable treating all ages, including peds!
• During the day the shifts are a little slower as there is an Acute Care surgeon working the floor. At night that surgeon is sent home so the SICU doctor is covering GS/Trauma and SICU.

REQUIREMENTS : 

• Surgical ICU in Arizona
• 10 bed SICU
•  General Surgery BE or BC and have fellowship in Surgical Critical Care REQUIRED
• ATLS active
• Level I or II experience required
• AZ license and DEA required
• These docs will be responsible for seeing SICU patients and Trauma patients in the Step-Down unit and on the floor.
