Interventional Cardiology Locum Opportunity in West Virginia

We have an URGENT NEED for a Board-Eligible (BE) Interventional Cardiologist to provide continuous STEMI call coverage over the Christmas holiday period.

• License: Active West Virginia (WV) License or IMLC eligibility/license.
• Credentialing Timeline: 7–10 Days (Expedited Privileges)

Scope of Work & Facility

• Coverage Needed: Interventional Cardiology and STEMI call coverage for the duration of the block.
• General Call Summary: Stemi call plus availability for consults on unassigned cardiology inpatients and other procedures as credentialed.
• Volume: Locum volume is typically low, varying from 0 to a few cases per week.
• Support: Other Cardiologists are present during the assignment.
• Facility Resources: 2 Cath Labs and 3 Exam Rooms.
• Call Team: The dedicated call team consists of 3 RNs and 1 tech.
• Supervision: Not required to supervise other healthcare providers.
• On-site Staff: 2 full-time Interventional Cardiologists (ICs) are on staff.

Orientation

• Orientation: Orientation is preferred to be the day before the first day of call (December 20th, 2025, if possible).

Time: Orientation time varies depending on the provider's familiarity with the MediTech EMR system.
