We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment at a tertiary Level II hospital. This role manages a combined Emergency Department and Urgent Care setting, offering flexible shifts and excellent advanced practice clinician support.

- Specialty: Urgent Care / Emergency Medicine
- Start Date: September 1, 2026 (First shift includes a dedicated Monday orientation)
- End Date: Ongoing Volume/Commitment: Part-time (~6–8 shifts per month)
- Coverage Type: Clinic/Inpatient Shifts Only (No standalone call)
Schedule & Open Shift Details
Shifts are typically 12 hours with variable blocks (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, and 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM).
Currently Available Shifts (2026):
- September: 9/15, 9/16, 9/17 (1800–0600) | 9/24, 9/25 (6p–6a) | 9/25, 9/26 (0600–1800)
- October: 10/3, 10/4 (0600–1800) | 10/5 (1000–2200) | 10/21 (0600–1800)
- November: 11/4 (Nights) | 11/8 (Nights) | 11/10–11/12 (Nights) | 11/21 (Mids)
- December: 12/30, 12/31 (6p–6a)
Practice & Facility Details
- Setting: Combined EM/UC within a Level II facility.
- Mid-Level Support: Strong coverage with at least one (APC) in the Urgent Care section from 7:30 AM – 12:00 AM, alongside multiple overlapping provider shifts.
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner
Requirements & Qualifications
- Board Certification: ABEM is strictly required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS.
- Licensure: Open (Candidates with clean files preferred to expedite processing).
- Credentialing Timeline: 60 Days for a clean background file.
