Clinical Environment & Volume

  • Annual Volume: 11,000 (Low-to-mid volume).
  • Daily Volume: Average of 33 patients.
  • Support: APC coverage provided during the majority of days and some evening hours.
  • Autonomy: Must be self-sufficient in patient management; while surgical teams are on-call, they have a response time delay.

Required Procedures & Skills

Providers must demonstrate competency in standard EM procedures, including:

  • Intubation & Central Line Placement
  • Chest Tubes & Lumbar Punctures (LPs)
  • Ultrasound: Proficiency in FAST exams is required.

Provider Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active Wisconsin (WI) Medical License (Act 10 acceptable).
  • Board Status: Board Eligible (BE).
  • Certifications (Mandatory): ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.

Credentialing: 90-day timeline.
