Description

We are seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist for a full-time, long-term institutional opportunity in Spokane, Washington. This position is strictly focused on Consult-Liaison (CL) Psychiatry, providing psychiatric evaluations and management recommendations for patients admitted to the hospital’s acute medical and surgical floors. It offers an excellent lifestyle with standard daytime hours and zero overnight or weekend call.


?Clinical Schedule & Operations

  • Work Week: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch).
  • Hours Guaranteed: 8 paid hours per day (35–40 hours per week). Overtime rates apply for any clinical work extending past 8 hours in a single day.
  • Practice Scope: Inpatient Consult-Liaison service. You will act as the primary psychiatric consultant to the hospital’s internal medicine, intensive care, and general surgery teams.
  • Caseload Nature: Delirium management, acute somatic-psychiatric overlays, capacity evaluations, and emergency psychiatric stabilization on medical floors. No standard outpatient panel or outpatient clinic tracking.


Requirements

  • Certification: Board Certified (BC) Only in General Psychiatry (ABPN or AOBNP). Fellowship training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is highly regarded but not explicitly mandated.
  • Licensure & DEA: Active Washington (WA) Medical License or an active, assignment-ready IMLC passport, alongside a valid DEA registration.
