Description

We are seeking a Nephrologist with specific expertise in Transplant Nephrology for a recurring monthly rotation in Seattle, Washington. This role is ideal for a specialist looking for a consistent one-week-on, three-weeks-off rhythm in a world-class medical hub.


Position Overview

  • Schedule: One week per month (7-day block)
  • Shift Times: Monday (8:00 AM) – Monday (8:00 AM)
  • Coverage Type: Call Only (Clinic coverage is only required if the candidate is specifically a Transplant Nephrologist).


Clinical Responsibilities

  • Inpatient Consultation: Manage post-kidney transplant patients and provide nephrology input for liver transplant patients.
  • Dialysis Management: Responsible for writing dialysis orders and managing transplant-specific kidney needs.
  • Advisory Role: Field phone calls from other physicians, Emergency Departments, and outside facilities regarding immunosuppression management.
  • Clinic Duties: If the provider is a fellowship-trained Transplant Nephrologist, clinic coverage will be integrated into the week.


Candidate Requirements

Clinical Expertise: Must have completed a Transplant Nephrology Fellowship OR possess significant, documented experience managing kidney transplant patients.


Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BE).

Certifications: Active BLS.

Licensure: Active Washington (WA) Medical License or eligibility via the IMLC.

EMR: Epic.

Credentialing: 30–90 day timeline.
