Description

Medical Center need one IM or FM Hospitalist for locum coverage starting in October.

Description of Work Assignment: Day Shift: 7a-5p med/surg patients (assigned list of ~13-15 patients or ~10-12 plus admissions)

Swing Shift: 12p-10p admissions to ICU / step down / or med/surg unit, new consults (avg 6-7 admits plus collaboration with APP)

Night Shift: 7p-7:30a cross coverage of ICU/ PCU / med surg plus nightly admissions (avg 6 admits nightly)

ACLS certification / code team required

No procedures required. In person and tele-Critical Care support available 24/7

Breakdown of Clinic Days/Sessions and/or OR Days: Rounding shift 7a-5p Admitting shift 12p-10p

Schedule of Days/Times Needed To Work/ Shift Hours: Flexible scheduling, will work schedule around availability. Blocks of 5-7 days.

On call? If so, what are the call hours? Yes, must hold the pager until 7pm on the rounding shifts.

Procedures Provider Will Be REQUIRED To Perform: None

Procedures Preferred: N/a

Anticipated Procedures/Surgeries per Week: N/a

Patient Load: 10-15 pts on Rounding shifts

Does the Provider Have Particular Fellowship? No

Will You Accept Experience Over Fellowship? N/a

Board Status Requirement (BC/BE): IM or FM BC/BE

Certifications Required? BLS, ACLS, PALS?? ACLS

Is There Additional Surgical Staff? Yes

Is there additional support staff? Yes

Is the provider working solo or with other providers? If so, whom? Solo or could work with an APP depending on which Team/shift they’re assigned.

Are there mid levels? If yes, is the locums provider responsible for mid levels? Yes, depending on which Team/shift they are assigned.
