We are seeking a Board Eligible Infectious Disease Physician for a long-term, ongoing inpatient opportunity in Virginia. This role is highly structured to offer an exceptional quality of life, focusing strictly on daytime acute hospital consultations and rounding without any evening or overnight callback duties.
Clinical Schedule & Workload
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Daily Scope: Inpatient rounding and new consult coverage for the hospital.
- Night Call Profile: None. At 5:00 PM, a dedicated local on-call provider takes over coverage for all new consults.
- Clinic Requirements: None. There is no outpatient clinic obligation located at this hospital site.
- EMR: Epic.
Requirements
- Certification: Board Eligible (BE) in Infectious Disease.
- Licensure: Active Virginia (VA) Medical License.
- Life Support: Active BLS certification.

- Credentialing Window: Standard 90 days.
- Timing Analysis: As today is June 8, 2026, a standard 90-day tracking path positions onboarding for early September.
