Orthopedics Locum Opportunity in Texas

We are seeking a Board-Eligible (BE) Orthopedic Surgeon for an ongoing Locum Tenens position providing dedicated weekend call coverage in Texas.

• Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery
• Start Date: February 1, 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Call Only
• Call Requirement: Call Only
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 Days

Schedule & Commitment

• Schedule: One full weekend per month of call coverage.
• Shift Times: Friday at 7:00 AM through Monday at 7:00 AM (Continuous 72-hour block).

Scope of Work & Support

• Volume: Low volume expected; the provider is only called in for emergency surgeries.
• Support: Five Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are available both day and night to assist first before the provider is called, if needed.

Requirements

• Certification: BC (Board Certified) or truly Board Eligible (BE) is accepted.
• Life Support: BLS, ACLS, and ATLS are required.
• License: Active Texas (TX) License is mandatory.
