Psychiatry Locum Opportunity in Pennsylvania

EMR system: TechCare Reason for Coverage: Transition of provider. Locum needed until July 2026 when new psychiatrist begins employment. FTE or Shifts per month needed: 1.0 Inpatient, Outpatient or both: Inpatient Target start date and Length of need: May 2026 - July 2026 Locums Shift Schedule (ex: 8a-5p or 7p-7a, etc) : Mondays 8a-4p; Tuesdays 8a-4p, Wednesdays 8a-4p, Thursdays 8a-4p; Fridays 8a-4p. Shift Description: Coverage of patients in acute mental health units at facility.

Call Schedule and Call Responsibilities: None Type of patients / cases / procedures required: adults with acute mental health symptoms Current Incarceration Population: 1,800 patients in the entire jail Patient Encounters per shift: varies Daytime Support: nursing, APP’s and psychiatrists Certifications required (Board Certification/Truly Board Eligible or life support, etc.): Board eligible, BLS required, ACLS preferred

Will you accept licensure candidates (IMLC or standard process): Yes Minimum candidate commitment to consider: 8 weeks (May + June for sure, possibly into July) Is corrections experience required? No

*Hospital Privileging: 60 days from application to network committee meeting - Application is required to be completed and returned with all documentation within 10 days of receipt. Need clean file (no malpractice/background) to rush credentialing.

Miscellaneous Information: Act 33 - Child Abuse Registry, Act 34 - PA State Police Check & Act 73 - FBI Background Check - strongly prefer a candidate who has all of these already
