We are seeking a Board Certified, Fellowship-trained Pediatric Surgeon for an intensive weekend coverage block. This role involves 24/7 responsibility for inpatient rounds, new consultations, and trauma cases within a premier Level 1 Trauma Center and Level 1 Pediatric Facility.
??Clinical Schedule & Workload
- Shift Times: July 24 at 6:00 AM – July 27 at 6:00 AM (Continuous 24-hour coverage).
- Scope: Inpatient rounding (unassigned patients), trauma evaluations, and surgical consults.
- Volume: * Average Call-Back: 100%.
- Average Admissions: 2 per shift.
- Average Patients Seen: 5 per shift.
- Response Time: 15-minute emergency response required.
- Support Staff: Independent coverage (Support staff listed as 0 for this specific rotation).
Requirements
- Certification: Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery (Fellowship Required).
- Licensure: Active State Medical License is Mandatory. (IMLC/Compact licenses are NOT accepted for this role).
- Life Support: Must hold active ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.
- Background: Candidates must have a completely clean NPDB and Malpractice history to qualify for temporary privileges.
- EMR: Epic.
