Need call coverage for October 27-31.
- Monday through Friday GI Lab hours 8-4, Call is typically 5 pm – 5 pm
- Procedures required/procedures per day: EGDs, Colonoscopies, EGD with Dilatations, Peg placement and change. All the standard GI procedures.
- Patients Per Day: Approx. 20-30 inpatients per day – PA to assist M-F
- Call Volume: Rounds, emergencies, outpatient procedures (if needed) and floor consults (5-10 per day) - staff will add patients to inpatient rounding list to see the following morning. May get called in to hospital 3-4 times per week.
- Licensing timelines/temp license: need immediately – must have a current PA license
- BC required: Yes
- 2 other physicians – in/outpatient

- Hospital rounds/consults to be completed daily on the assigned weeks. Average 5-10 inpatient consults per day while on-call.
- Hospital rounds/consults on Saturday and Sunday on assigned weekends (4 hours per day of onsite work)

- Rounds, emergencies, outpatient procedures (if needed) and floor consults (6-10 per day) - staff will add patients to inpatient rounding list to see the following morning. May get called in to hospital 1-3 times per week.
- Procedures required/procedures per day: EGDs, Colonoscopies, EGD with Dilatations, Peg placement and change. All the standard GI procedures.
- To be eligible to apply for privileges in gastroenterology, the applicant must meet the following criteria: Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)– or American Osteopathic Association (AOA)–accredited fellowship in gastroenterology. AND/OR Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or completion of a certificate of special qualifications in gastroenterology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. It is expected that the candidate will follow the recommendations of their governing board and adhere to the timeframes set forth by their specific boards.
- Required current experience: Inpatient or consultative services for at least 100 patients, reflective of the scope of privileges requested, during the past 12 months or successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency or clinical fellowship within the past 12 months.
Requirements:
- All general GI procedures
- Consults: 5-10 inpatient consults per day per day only while on-call for inpatient service
- Current Active PA license
- Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible within 5 years of Residency through the American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty of Gastroenterology.
- Must be Fellowship Trained in Gastroenterology
