· Credentialing Timeframe: 60 -90 days with a clean file; 90+ days with background

· Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

??Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery EMR system: EPIC Reason for Coverage: Provider retirement FTE or Shifts per month needed: 1.0/can be split between providers Target start date and Length of need: Approved for 6 months, but good potential to extend past that Locums Shift Schedule: M-F 8-5 weekly; Every other weekend for call + rounding Call Schedule and Responsibilities: Estimated 1:2 weeknight call and every other weekend; whoever takes call on the weekend will take Weds/Thurs call the following week; (opposite provider will be on call for Mon/Tues, Fri - Sun; rotate weekly) Trauma Level + # of beds: No trauma- 347-bed hospital Type of patients/cases/procedures required: CABGs, Aortic/Mitral valve replacement/repairs, Ascending aortic root work, TAVRs, routine lung/lobectomy, mediastinoscopy. Required Experience in: CT Surgery; Robotic experience preferred but not required Average daily census: 10-12 inpatients/up to 17 office patients Available support staff: APPs help as first assist, RN's + RNFA, MAs, 1 other CT Surgeon Miscellaneous: Rounding is pretty basic- have APP coverage to help round; approximately 4-5 hours each day (10-12 pts) # of Hearts per year: 218 in 2024 & 147 through August 2025
Certifications required (Board Certification/Board Eligible or life support, etc.): board certified- cardiothoracic surgery, ACLS/BLS (Through American Heart Association, in-person only) Will you accept licensure candidates (IMLC or standard process)? Strongly prefer PA licensed candidates; Yes - will consider IMLC candidates with Letter of Qualification in hand Minimum candidate commitment to consider: 2 weeks per month *Hospital Privileging: 6-8 weeks after application is submitted for clean files only; any malpractice/background will require legal review and may not be eligible for locums' privileges
