Coverage Need Details:-
- Need someone FT
- We will take as few as two weeks per month or up to 4 weeks of coverage per month.
- Will entertain more than one locum
- Emergency/temps are available ASAP start - typically takes about 30 days for tempts/emergency privs to be issued.
Candidates Typical Day:-
- 5 different systems that they will read tests on.
- Coverage of hospital duties including but not limited to reading of diagnostic testing/ consults and call. The shift during the day is typically 8-10 hours but if on call it will be over night and call is 5pm-8am
- Hospital consultations are held from 8:00 to 4:30, with diagnostic reads interspersed between consultations as needed. If covering clinic patient appointments from 9am-4pm.
Procedures:-
None Required - while it is not required for the locums to do standard procedures such as EKG, Echo, and Stress Tests they have the option to do these if they would like.

Avg Admissions While On Call Varies
1. What is the call volume for 24hr weekend call, so how many callbacks/volume is to be anticipated for Sat/Sunday. 8-10 f/u’s, 10 consults in hospital only one day either Saturday or Sunday. 5-6 calls in the night, very uncommon to come in during sleeping hours. Most of the time, the back up interventional cardiologist would be the one called in, if he needed assistance, then he would ask for that. It is extremely rare outside of the rounding that occurs on Saturday or Sunday morning.
2. What is the call volume for 5p-8a weekday night call per day? 5-6 calls a night

- APP Mid-Level Coverage available from 8am-5pm
- We do not need Locums to do TEEs
- On average, 8-12 patients daily. That is fluid depending on census and service line.
- No procedures required. We just need hospital consult coverage and call so that we can relieve perm physicians to do other things.
- Inpatient is general hospital consults (does not include EP) with the APP assigned, and outpatient would be routine follow-up/ new evaluations (does not include EP) for Cardiac patients without APP assistance.
