Interventional Cardiology Call Coverage

• Dates: August 10, 2026 – August 14, 2026
• Coverage Type: Clinic + Night Call
• Location: Pennsylvania (PA)

Schedule & Call Logistics

• Day Coverage: Monday – Friday (M-F)
• Night Call: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM (Required for 3 nights during the week).
• Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM).
• Call Nature: Off-site (In-house not required).
• Response Time: Must be on-site within 25 minutes.

Clinical Scope & Expectations

• Inpatient Consults: Required to see inpatient cardio consults during M-F daytime hours.
• General Cardiology: Not expected to come in for general consults during evening/weekend call hours.
• Call-Back Triggers:
• STEMI (Approx. 4 hours on-site)
• High-risk NSTEMI / Active Chest Pain
• Transvenous Pacer Insertion / Pericardiocentesis
• Cardiogenic Shock / CORE Donations
• Routine Patient Time: Approx. 1 hour for new patients; 20 minutes for established.

Requirements & Qualifications

• License: Active Pennsylvania (PA) license OR IMLC.
• Certification: Board Certified (BC) Required.
• Mandatory Certs: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Credentialing: 10 Days (Extremely expedited).

Administrative

• Documentation: Detailed notes in Epic are mandatory for all patient interactions.
• Time Tracking: Callback hours must include specific reasons for validation against Epic audits. Telephone calls and record reviews do not count as on-site callback hours.
• Overtime: Must be approved in advance unless it is a documented medical emergency.
