Call Requirements & Response Times

While providers are not required to remain onsite for the full 24-hour shift, strict response protocols are in place:

• Availability: 9 shifts per month available; typically seeking 1–2 weekends.
• Phone Response: Must answer all calls within 15 minutes.
• Onsite Presence: Must be in the building within 30 minutes when called back.
• Callback Volume: Ranges from 0 to 4 hours of active work per shift.

Clinical Scope & Procedures

• Total Hips: MANDATORY. Must be able to perform total hip arthroplasty for hip fractures coming through the ED.
• Total Knees: Preferred/Bread and butter, but not a "deal-breaker."
• General: Simple fractures and standard ED Ortho trauma.
• Inpatient Census: Average of 10 orthopaedic patients.
• Support: 2 local integrated surgeons and 1 non-integrated privileged physician onsite.

Provider Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Oklahoma (OK) Medical License.
• Board Status: Board Eligible (BE).
• Certifications: ACLS & BLS.
• Credentialing: 60–90 day timeline.
