Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist for an ongoing, clinic-only locum tenens assignment in Ohio. This completely paperless, multi-accredited cancer center offers a highly structured schedule with a rapid 20-day credentialing turnaround.


??Position Overview

  • Specialty: Radiation Oncology
  • Start Date: August 24, 2026
  • End Date: Ongoing
  • Coverage Type: Clinic Only (No Call)
  • Schedule: 4 days per week (8-hour days). Standard shift is Monday – Thursday.
  • Note: Schedule may occasionally adjust to Tuesday – Friday or 5 days based on permanent staff vacation, maintaining an average of 8 working days per pay period.
  • Patient Volume: 7–10 patients per day (mix of consults, follow-ups, add-ons, and urgent visits). One day per week is dedicated exclusively to On-Treatment Visits (OTV).
  • EMR: Epic (Hospital) & ARIA (Radiation Oncology)


Facility & Equipment Specifications

This facility is fully ACR, ACoS, HFAP, and NSABP accredited, as well as QOPI certified in Medical Oncology. The department operates completely paperless and filmless.

  • Siemens SomaTom CT Simulator
  • Varian TrueBeam with CBCT, VMAT, and The Edge SRS Package (includes Vision RT/OSMS)
  • Varian Trilogy with CBCT & VMAT
  • Elekta-Nucletron HDR with Oncentra


Department & Support Staff

You will be supported by a robust, multidisciplinary clinical team:

  • Clinical Team: 1 Clinical Manager, 1.6 Radiation Oncologists, 1.6 FT OCN Certified RNs, 0.6 MST, 2 FT Physicists, 2 FT Medical Dosimetrists (CMD), and 5.4 Staff Radiation Therapists (RTT).
  • Ancillary Support: Research Coordinators, Nurse Navigators, In-House Pharmacy, In-House Palliative Care, Spiritual Care, Financial Counselors, and Medical Nutritional Therapy.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Board Status: Board Certified (BC) required
  • Licensure: Active Ohio (OH) medical license or active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license
  • Certifications: Active ABLS and BLS certifications

  • Process Duration: 20 Days > This position features an accelerated 20-day credentialing window. Ideal candidates available for the August start date are encouraged to apply immediately.
