We are seeking a Board Certified Pathologist to join a robust lab practice in Ohio. This role offers a highly structured rotation within a well-supported environment, working alongside two other Pathologists and a full complement of Histotechs, Cytotechnologists, and assistants.
?Clinical Rotation & Workflow
The practice operates on a predictable 3-day rotation to manage a daily slide volume of 200–250 (split between the team):
- Day 1: Grossing & Call
- Perform grossing for 40–50 cases (roughly 3–4 hours).
- Manage Frozen Sections (1–4 per week).
- Handle overnight pager call (4:30 PM – 8:00 AM).
- Day 2: Read Out
- Focus on primary reads and ordering IHC/Special Stains.
- Average daily volume: 40–50 surgical cases and 10 cytology cases.
- Day 3: Cytology & Special Procedures
- Read out Cytology cases.
- Provide support for the Bronchoscopy suite (FNA/Rapid Interpretation required).
Case Mix
- Included: Surgical Nephrology, General Pathology, GI, Breast, Minimal Hematology, Gyn/Non-Gyn.
- Excluded: Neuro, Pediatrics, and Autopsies.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active Ohio (OH) Medical License or IMLC (Compact) eligibility.
- Certification: Board Certified (BC) in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and active BLS.
- Skills: Must be comfortable with grossing and performing FNA/Rapid Interpretation.
- EMR: MediTech.
