Orthopedics Locum Opportunity in New Mexico

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for ongoing call coverage at a New Mexico hospital. The engagement begins with two weeks of coverage in December, transitioning into a regular rotation of approximately two weeks per month (with occasional sporadic needs).

• Coverage Type: 24-Hour Beeper Call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM; flexible).
• On-Site Requirement: Not required to stay on-site while on call.
• Volume: Low-volume facility.
• EMR: Epic.

Requirements

• Licensure: Active New Mexico (NM) License and NM DEA.
• Certification: Board Eligible (BE) within 3–5 years of residency.
• Documentation: Candidates must provide case logs from the last 24 months.
• Skills: Ability to perform procedures outlined in the facility's practice description.

Privileging & Credentialing

• Timeline: Approximately 90 days.
• Process: Includes both hospital privileging and payor credentialing.
• Urgency: To avoid delays, providers must submit a complete documentation package immediately upon request.
