Description

Hospital is seeking 1 Locum Anesthesiologist for Hospital Coverage


  • Practice Setting: Hospital-based
  • Dates of Coverage: January 2026 – TBD
  • Reason for Coverage: Open position; hiring for permanent provider
  • Interested in: Locum or Locum-to-Perm
  • Documentation System/EMR: Cerner
  • Trauma Level/Designation: Level II
  • Will You Accept Providers Needing to Obtain State License? No – must hold a current NJ license


Schedule:

  • Shift varies based on surgical schedule and hospital needs
  • Includes weekday, night call, and weekend call coverage
  • Call schedule and ratio TBD


Required Procedures:


  • General Surgical Cases (Adult)
  • IV Regional Anesthesia
  • Plexus Anesthesia
  • Open Heart Anesthesia
  • Thoracic Cases (Except Open Heart)
  • Complex Vascular Cases (Except Open Heart)
  • Spinal Anesthesia
  • Regional Anesthesia
  • Local Infiltration
  • Ventilation Management


Insertion of:

  • TEE
  • PA Catheter
  • Arterial Line
  • Central Line


Supervision:


Required to supervise CRNAs


Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 45–60 days



Submission Requirements

  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology – [REQUIRED]
  • Active New Jersey Medical License – [REQUIRED] (no time to wait for licensing)
  • ACLS and BLS Certifications – [REQUIRED]
  • Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia – [PREFERRED]
  • Proficiency in Open Heart, Thoracic (non-Open Heart), and Complex Vascular Cases – [REQUIRED]
  • Experience with TEE, PA Catheter, Arterial Line, and Central Line Insertion – [REQUIRED]
  • Experience Supervising CRNAs – [REQUIRED]
  • Experience with Cerner EMR – [PREFERRED]
