Cardiac Anesthesiology Locum Opportunity in Nebraska

Facility is in need for CV anesthesiology locums  to cover open heart, thoracic, vascular and structural heart cases. Must be TEE certified and cardiac anesthesiology fellowship preferred.  Providers will cover general cases, if needed.

Locums will be assisting with general OR in addition to above. 

Schedule/Availability Requirements:

• ASAP start - preferred
• Ongoing availability through Dec 2026

unrestricted overnight call and weekend call; Monday - Friday 8-10 hour days

Credentialing Information:

Timeframe: 60 - 90 days

Requirements:

• Must have completed an approved ACGME or International equivalent CV anesthesia fellowship AND achieved at least testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE)
• If fellowship trained applicants are not available, new hire must have at least five years documented CV Anesthesia experience with letters of recommendations from both anesthesiologists and CV surgeons AND achieved testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography, as defined by NBE

Billing enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less?: No

1. Adult and Geriatric patients only? Will they provide any pediatric care? No pediatrics
2. Will you consider someone who needs to obtain a license? Yes, we will take people who need to obtain a license.
3.  How many cardiac surgical cases per year?  360-450 Cardiac cases per year
4. How many cardiac surgeons on staff? 2 cardiac surgeons on staff
5. Are cases hands on? Cases are hands on, they may need to supervise a CRNA occasionally 

Submission Requirements

• Board Certified in cardiac and in transesophageal echo - [REQUIRED]
• NE license - Highly Preferred or IMLC [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• TEE certified - [REQUIRED]
• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship - [REQUIRED]
