?Position Highlights & Requirements
We are seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for high-priority December and holiday shift coverage in North Carolina.
- Licensure: Active North Carolina (NC) State Medical License or active IMLC required.
- Enrollment Hard Requirements: Candidates must be actively enrolled in PECOS and credentialed/enrolled with NC Medicaid prior to submission.
- Certifications: Board Certified (BC) in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM).
- EHR System: MEDITECH 6.1.
- Work-Life Balance: Standard 12-hour shifts with zero post-shift call requirements.
- Accommodations: Housing provided in hospital-owned apartments.
Facility & Clinical Scope
- Department Overview: Open ICU model; annual ED volume of ~32,000 patients (daily volume averaging 90–100 patients).
- Coverage Model: Solo Emergency Room physician coverage supported by 2 mid-level providers per shift.
- Patient Volume: Expected workload of approximately 18–20 patients per 12-hour shift.
