We are seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon to provide dedicated coverage for a maternity leave in 2026. This role is strictly focused on Emergency General Surgery (EGS) with no trauma responsibilities, offering a structured "7-on, 2-weeks-off" rotation.
Position Overview

- Coverage Type: Call Only (In-house)
- Schedule: 7 days on / 14 days off
- Purpose: Maternity leave vacancy.
Shift & Call Details
- Day Shift: 12-hour In-house shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
- Night Shift: 2nd Call backup coverage (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Clinical Scope: Emergency General Surgery only.
- Trauma: No Trauma coverage required.

- Facility Setting: Hospital-based surgical call.
- Team Structure: Collaborative environment with primary night call coverage in place (this role serves as 2nd call backup for nights).
Candidate Requirements
- Certification: Board Certified (BC) in General Surgery.
- Licensure: Active state medical license (as per facility location).
Experience: Proficiency in a broad range of emergency general surgical procedures.
