We are seeking a Board Eligible Physician to serve as the Emergency Department Medical Director for a Critical Access Hospital in Chester, Montana. This is a unique leadership opportunity combining clinical shifts with administrative oversight in a supportive rural healthcare setting.

Schedule: Min. 10 days/month (One week on/off preferred)
Medical Directorship: Oversight of 4 APPs; Monthly meetings (2 hrs, onsite or remote)"

Role Responsibilities
- Directorship: Act as the Medical Director for the ED, providing oversight for 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Administrative tasks and scheduling are handled by the Hospital Administrator.
- On-Site Coverage: While on-site, the physician covers the ER (24-hour coverage) and Urgent Care (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
- Collaboration: Participate in 2 hours of Medical Staff and Provider meetings per month.
- Facility Focus: Experience with Critical Access and Swing Bed patients is highly preferred.
Requirements & Logistics
- Licensure: Active Montana (MT) license or IMLC qualification.
- Board Status: BE (Board Eligible).
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS are required.
- EMR: Proficiency with Cerner.
- Housing: On-site housing is provided by the facility.
- Credentialing: Estimated 120-day timeframe.
