Center is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician to join a high-tech, collaborative team. This facility is a regional leader in oncology technology, featuring the surgical system and the region’s only automated breast ultrasound (ABUS).
Position Overview
- Availability Requirement: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 weeks of availability per month.
- Start Date: April 1, 2026 (Ongoing)
- Schedule: * May – August: 4 weeks per month (Full-time).
- September 2026 – Forward: 2 weeks per month (Rotating with another provider).
- Clinic Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Potential for one half-day off during the week).
- Coverage Type: Clinic + Beeper Call.
Clinical Details
- Patient Load: 15–23 patients per clinic shift.
- Night/Weekend Call: Very light (1–2 patients). Primarily phone consults with occasional rounding.
- Mix: 60% Medical Oncology / 40% Hematology (No Acute Leukemia or Malignant Hem).
- Procedures: Consults and follow-ups. Bone Marrow Biopsies (BMB) preferred.
- Admissions: Handled by the Hospitalist team.
Facility & System Details
- Staffing: Supported by 2 Full-time Physicians and 2 Full-time APPs.
- EMR: Epic.
- Technology: Elekta Versa HD (IMRT/Stereotactic), PET/CT, and SpaceOAR Hydrogel.
- Credentialing: 90 days (Emergency privileges available within 60 days).
Candidate Requirements
- Certification: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE).
- Life Support: ACLS, ATLS, and BLS required.
- Experience: Comfortable in a fast-paced clinic; preference for providers proficient in BMB.
