?Position Highlights & Requirements
We are seeking a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon with a minimum of 1–2 years of experience for ongoing locum coverage in Missouri.
- Licensure: Active Missouri (MO) State Medical License or active IMLC required.
- Certifications: Board Certified (BC) in Cardiothoracic Surgery, ACLS, BLS.
- EHR System: EPIC.
- Practice Focus: Pure Cardiothoracic practice (No Vascular Surgery cases required).
- Experience Required: 1–2+ years of CT Surgery experience. Familiarity with vein harvesting, first-assisting, chest tubes, and managing/caring for central, arterial, and PICC lines.
Clinical Workflow & Scope
- Primary Focus: Operating Room coverage, surgical emergency call, and inpatient management.
- Outpatient Clinic: Tuesday through Thursday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) seeing approximately 8–10 patients per day.
- APP Support: Experienced Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners manage admissions, complete H&Ps, and assist with CT patient care.
