Emergency Medicine Locum Opportunity in Minnesota

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine
• Start Date: March 9 with MN license or April 13 without license 
• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Shift Details: Mix of days and nights, 12 hours shifts from 7a-7p / 7p-7a
• Schedule: 6-8 shifts per month – each month with differ
• They will only consider local candidates at this time and flights will not be covered.
• Will they do 24 hour shifts? "No, our volume is way too high. We’ve been seeing 25 on days, 15-20 on nights. We are a single cover shop and see 10k a year with season peaks and valleys, we have very much arrived to cold season."

Work Details:

• -Strong preference for EM, would consider FP with ED experience. 
• -Strong preference for experience in MN or adjacent state.
• Support staff: RT, Psych, Teleintensivist, Ortho, Gen Surg, OB/GYN, CRNA, and occasional mid-levels
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 6 shifts per month
• Patients per day: Approx. 15 a shift is more typical, right now we are in our busy season and 15-20 or even 25 in a shift is not uncommon
• Patient population/age: All ages
• Department description: Single Coverage ER
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital bed size: 11

Requirements:

• experience at community sites 
• Board Certification: required
• State license required: Yes
• DEA: required
• Certifications required: ACLS, PALS, ATLS or CALS
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
