• Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call Coverage (Ongoing opportunities available)
• Location: Facility Onsite Rounding + Offsite Call

Schedule & Call Logistics

• Call Shift: 24-hour blocks (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM).
• In-House Call: No (Providers are not required to remain onsite after rounding).
• Response Time: Must be onsite within 20 minutes.
• Rounding: Locum provider is required to round on new admissions, current inpatients, and handle discharges.

Clinical Scope & Volume

• Patient Load: Approx. 1–5 patients per shift.
• Call Volume: Typically 2–4 calls per night; 1–2 expected onsite call-ins.
• Onsite Expectation: Average of 2–4 hours per day for rounding and direct patient care.
• Common Procedures:
• Kidney stones
• Stent placements
• Hematuria management
• Difficult catheter placements
• Consults on Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)

Administrative & Billing

• Documentation: Physicians must provide detailed supporting notes on timesheets for all call-back hours to ensure EHR audit validation.
• Call-Back Criteria: Only direct patient care/onsite hours qualify as call-back. Telephone consults and medical record reviews are not considered onsite hours.
• Lodging: Due to the strict 20-minute response time, staying in close proximity to the facility is mandatory during call hours.
