Facility is seeking a board-certified Physician in Emergency Medicine.
Date coverage:
- July 20: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- July 25: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- July 26: Shift TBD

- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Job Information:
- Annual ED Volume: 13,800 visits
- Average Daily Volume: 32–50 patients
- Total ED Beds: 10
- Trauma Designation: Level IV
- Fast Track: No
- 55% of hospital admissions originate from the ED
- 6.4% of ED patients are admitted
- Fewer than 7 patient transfers per 24-hour period
- EMR: Epic
Support:
- One APP works alongside the ED attending from 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Locum physician will provide supervision of APP during overlapping hours
Clinical responsibilities:
- Respond to hospital codes as needed
- Interpret EKGs; cardiology provides final review
- Admission orders handled by admitting physicians
- OB patients are stabilized and transferred to Sparrow Lansing L&D

Submission Requirements
ALL MUST BE NOTATED IN THE TIME OF NAME CLEAR:
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) - [REQUIRED]
- Please submit dates provider is available as July/August is an emergent need - [REQUIRED]
- Must have active FULL MI license at time of name clear - No IMLC or Compact License are approved [REQUIRED]
- ACLS and ATLS - [REQUIRED]
- Ability to supervise Advanced Practice Providers
- Experience working in a community emergency department setting
