Cardiothoracic Surgery Locum Opportunity in Michigan

Hospital is seeking a Physician to join the Cardiothoracic surgery team. The role involves both 1 week of coverage M-F on site rounding on patients and covering call and then 1 weekend a month Night call starting Friday evening and weekend call (beeper 24hrs).

Job Details:

• Practice setting: Hospital-Based
• Start date: ASAP
• Trauma Level: Level I
• OR Availability: 2 dedicated CV Surgery ORs (daytime)
• EMR: Epic
• Patient Population: Adult
• Average Volume: ~1 case per weekend

???Schedule and Call

• Preferred Schedule: Friday evening until Monday morning
• Preference would be to take call Friday Evening 5pm until Monday Morning. And then Week coverage needed would be M-F onsite covering call and rounding on patients -
• Additional Coverage: 1 week of call per month
• Call Ratio: Open to options

Required Procedures:

• Adult Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery, CABG, Heart Valve Repair/Replacement, Tube Thoracostomy, Pericardial Window, Thoracotomy (Lung Biopsy, Lung Resection, Pneumonectomy), Thoracotomy Decortication, and Mediastinal Surgery.

*Credentialing Timeframe: ~90 days

Submission Requirements

All must be notated in the name of name clear:

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic - [REQUIRED]
• Active MI licenses - [REQUIRED] will accept willing to obtain.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification - [REQUIRED]
• Clean Malpractice & License History: [HIGHLY PREFERRED] 
• Copy of the NPDB, self-query requires at presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days) - [REQUIRED]
