Pulmonology (Critical Care) Locum Opportunity in Kentucky

Description 

• Specialty - Pulmonology - Critical Care (MD/DO) 
• Location - Kentucky (KY) 
• Start Date - ASAP 
• End Date-  Ongoing (Coverage needed through December 2026) 
• Schedule - 7-on / 7-off 
• Setting - Inpatient (IP) Only 
• EMR - Epic

Shift & Call Workflow

This role requires a dedicated onsite presence followed by restrictive call.

• Onsite Hours: 12-hour ICU shift (Rounding and management).
• Call Hours: 12-hour night call (following the day shift).
• Call Response: Average callback is 2 hours within a 24-hour period. You may occasionally be required to return to the facility.
• Support Staff: Hospital-employed RNs and MAs.
• Day Shift: No APC support; MD works solo.
• Night Shift: 1 APC is onsite to assist.
• Supervision: MD is required to supervise the night-shift APP.

?Clinical Requirements & Procedures

• Experience: Must have significant ICU experience.
• Required Procedures: * Intubations
• Chest tubes
• Central/Arterial lines

Provider Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Kentucky (KY) Medical License.
• Board Status: Board Certified (BC).
• Certifications: ACLS.
