Hospitalist Locum Opportunity in Kentucky

Facility is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Practice Physician to provide full-spectrum inpatient hospital coverage, delivering continuous 24-hour care in a high-responsibility locum tenens role where the provider serves as the sole physician covering inpatient and nursing home call duties during each assigned block.

• Dates needed: Dec 28, 2026 – Jan 4, 2027
• Shift times: 7a–7a (24-hour coverage)
• Average census: 14 with approx. ½ those SWING
• Practice setting: Hospital inpatient coverage
• Call Schedule: Unrestricted call while not onsite at Hospital (while not making rounds), including nursing home call coverage in the county
• Call Ratio: This physician will be the only provider taking call during these shifts
• Will Other Internal Medicine Physicians Provide Coverage During Locums Coverage Dates? No
• How Many Mid-Levels Provide Coverage: 1 Physician Assistant

• Level IV Trauma Center
• Adult and Geriatric patient population
• On-site Lab and Radiology services
• Documentation System: Epic EMR
• OB volume: 0 patients/day
