Description :
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
- Days per month: 4-12 shifts per month
- Shifts: 6:30a-2:30p, 1:30p-10:30p, 9:30p-6:30a
- Duties: Routine ER duties, Codes, ER locums do not have a lot of Trauma responsibilities
- EMR: EPIC
- Dictation: Dragon, No Scribes
- Support Staff: 12-20 Hrs of APP Coverage, Easy transfer center process
- Reason for Coverage: Transition
- Deal breakers: Failed Background Check (DUIs), License Suspension
- Qualifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible (Emergency Medicine)
- Active: Iowa DEA, ACLS, BLS, & PALS
- Experience: Actively practicing as an Emergency Medicine Physician for the last 12 months or completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency in the last 6 months
- Annual volume: 22,000 per year, 77% Discharge, 14% Admissions, 4% LBTC, 2.8% Observation, 2.5% transfer
Credentialing Information:
- Timeframe: 60 days (completed application needs to be returned to facility 48 hours after receipt)
- Requirements: Case logs from facilities need to be returned ASAP;
- Minimum Education: M.D., D.O.
- Training: Completion of an ACGME/AOA approved Emergency Medicine residency program.
- Experience: Actively practicing as an Emergency Medicine Physician for the last 12 months or completion of an Emergency
- Medicine Residency in the last 6 months
