Description

Hospital Central is looking for 2-3 Locum Anesthesiologists to fill their need!


Must kickoff new physician candidates by July 10th to make a first shift start date of October 22nd 



Schedule:

Hospital:

Weekdays:  Monday - Friday = 7a-5p

Weekend DAY shift schedule:

  • (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) 0700 - 1700 10 hr shifts
  • required to work the 4 needed days in a row
  • option to add 1 additional Day shift on Tuesday or Thursday

Weekend NIGHT shift:

  • 14 hours in-house, no call, no callback.
  • Scheduled 1700 - 0700
  • Max 4-night shifts
  • Requirement: Friday 1700-0700 Sat, Sat 1700-0700 Sun, Sun1700-0700 Mon, Mon 1700-0700 Tues
  • CLs will not say 14 hours guaranteed


Dates Needed Coverage: 

  • Late October 2026 - July 2027
  • Need 2 ---- Day shift providers 
  • Need 2 or 3 ---- Night shift providers


Details:

  • No "first time locums"
  • Practice Percentage: Adult 80%; Trauma 20%
  • Patient Age Demographic: Mostly Adult
  • 60 surgical cases a day (50% general / 10% neuro / 20% complex vascular / 20% complex ortho)
  • Number of Anesthesiologist in the group: 55
  • Number of CRNAs in the group: 30
  • Other anesthesiologists will be present during the locum tenens coverage: Yes
  • Locum tenens requires to supervise CRNAs: Yes 40% of the time - CRNAs or AAs total of 3 at a time
  • Number of Operating rooms: 22
  • Trauma Level 1
  • Locum tenens physician responsible for preparing anesthesia chart: No, and the facility have difficult airway equipment
  • EPIC (Hospital & Surgical Center)
  • Credentialing Timeframe: 3 months

  • Spinal Anesthesia
  • Epidural Anesthesia
  • Central Line
  • Arterial Line
  • Regional Anesthesia Surgery
  • Obstetrical Cases
  • Neurosurgical Cases
  • Complex Vascular cases (except open heart)
  • Complex orthopedic cases
  • Local Infiltration
  • Use of ultrasound in placement of blocks
  • Ventilation mgmt.
  • Eval. and mgmt. of acute volume / BP issues
  • Arterial line placement
  • Minor Nerve Blocks
  • IV Regional Anesthesia
  • CRNA supervision


Submission Requirements

  • Local Candidates - please note at time of namce clear - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • Board Certified in Anesthesiology - [REQUIRED - Not accepting BE)
  • Active CO License or Active IMLC LOQ - [HIGHLY PREFERRED] - willing to review candidates needing to obtain license
  • Trauma Level I experience (2 years outside of residency) - please note at time of name clear - [REQUIRED]
  • Must be able to cover 2 weeks consecutively a month INCLUDING WEEKENDS - [REQUIRED - NO EXCEPTIONS) 
  • Prefer candidates who can cover 2 weekends per month - PREFERRED
  • Note at time of name clear if they cover AM or PM shifts or BOTH - [REQUIRED]
  • Clean Malpractice/No Background - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • Must be able to perform Central Lines - please note at time of name clear - [REQUIRED]
  • Must be comfortable doing PEDs - please note at time of name clear - [REQUIRED]
  • Must be able to do open vascular procedures - [REQUIRED]
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS/APLS - [REQUIRED]
  • Please upload Self-Query NPDB Report pulled within 30 days at time of presentation - [REQUIRED]
